The steering gear connector of new energy vehicles is a very sturdy workpiece, usually machined from 42CrMo forgings, and its hardness standard needs to reach HRC53-58. 42CrMo forgings belong to ultra-high strength steel, which has the characteristics of high strength, high toughness, good hardenability, and no obvious tempering brittleness. Moreover, after quenching and tempering treatment, they have high fatigue strength and resistance to multiple impacts.

The coaxiality of the bearing necks should be less than 0.015, the verticality should be less than 0.02, and the roundness of the pin hole should be less than 0.01, in order to qualify the workpiece.
